Wellbeing

Protecting our wellbeing must be our top priority. The nature of school leadership is that it can become all encompassing, taking time away from caring for our body and mind, from family and friends and the things we enjoy doing.

Leading in the current landscape of rising need and ask, set against a backdrop of underfunding, not only to our own sector but those that support it, a failed social contract and poor media coverage, means that as well as all encompassing it is also intensely stressful.

The most important thing to say is you are never alone, send Kirsty an email kirsty@norfolksla.co.uk and she will contact you and arrange for another head to be in touch ASAP as a safe person to talk to and share your current concerns with.
